SENCOs spend hours re-explaining the same pupil to different staff. Snapshot ends that — one structured 8-domain profile, built in under 10 minutes, shared in seconds.
Fragmented records cost SENCOs 4–6 hours a week. Snapshot centralises need into one structured view every adult can read.
Every adult interprets need differently. The A–E framework gives staff, families, and agencies a consistent shared language across all 8 domains.
Transitions lose critical information. Profiles travel with the learner — from primary to secondary, setting to setting, team to team.

Narrative Summary
The learner needs significant support around sensory processing and anxiety-related regulation, especially at unstructured times. Communication is a relative strength — clear routines and visual supports help them stay confident and engaged across the day.
Simple by design
How it works
Three steps. No training required. Open Snapshot and have a complete profile ready in under 10 minutes.
01
Score across eight domains
Rate the person across eight key areas using structured descriptors. Each one is designed to be consistent — so two different practitioners reach the same conclusion.
02
Build a visual profile
Scores generate a profile wheel and narrative summary automatically. At a glance, anyone can see where the person is across every domain — strengths and needs together.
03
Share with your team
Export as PDF. Attach to an EHCP, share with a new TA, bring to a review. The same picture, in everyone's hands, instantly.
What A–E means
AMinimal
BLow
CModerate
DHigh
EIntensive
A–E describes the level of support required in each domain (not attainment). Scores are top-heavy, so a single severe need isn't averaged away.
How banding is calculated
Transparent
Snapshot calculates a band per domain from the answers you've selected (unanswered items are ignored).
Hard rules: any E-level answer → domain band E. Two or more D-level answers → domain band D.
Top-heavy weighting: higher-need answers are weighted more heavily so they aren't averaged away.
Route aware: Cognition uses either NC-gap (route A) or Engagement Model (route B). Engagement Model outputs are never below D.

A complete picture across every area of need
Every profile is built across eight domains — not just what a person finds difficult, but what they're capable of and what they need to thrive.
